An assistant principal at Seymour High School was accepted into a court diversionary program Thursday in connection to a drunk driving arrest in Naugatuck, The Republican-American reported.
Paul Lucke was arrested Dec. 1 and charged with operating under the influence after being stopped by Naugatuck police at 12:43 a.m. on Bridge Street, according to a police arrest log.
Lucke’s criminal case had been sealed prior to his appearance in Waterbury court Thursday, severely limiting available info. That’s not unusual for first-time, non-violent offenders.
If Lucke stays out of trouble for a certain period of time his charge will be tossed, the Rep-Am reported.
The Valley Indy asked school officials Jan. 10 whether any disciplinary action had been taken against Lucke but did not receive a response. On Jan. 15 The Valley Indy submitted a request under the state’s freedom of information act to see Lucke’s personnel file, which is a public document.
