A 25-year-old man escaped with minor injuries after crashing his vehicle on Route 8 Monday morning.
State police said a Beacon Falls resident driving a 1997 Ford Ranger south on Route 8 lost control of the vehicle, veered off the shoulder and into the woods, where it struck several small trees.
While the vehicle was totaled — the driver sustained only minor cuts and bruises to his head.
He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.
The crash happened at 6:12 a.m. and was cleared by about 7:30 a.m.
