On Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 4 p.m. Three Saints Orthodox Church (26 Howard Ave., Ansonia) will host the Seminary Choir of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Seminary from South Canaan, Pennsylvania.

This group of men, current students enrolled at the Seminary, travel the country, visiting parishes in order to share with others the sacred and rich music of the Orthodox Church.

Under the accomplished direction of New England native, Rowan Benedict Sheehan, Music Director and Instructor at both the Monastery and Seminary this concert will offer examples of liturgical hymns and of the Advent and Nativity seasons.

Former Pastor of St. Alexis Orthodox Church in Clinton CT, and current Dean of St Tikhon’s Orthodox Seminary, V. Rev. Dr. Steven Voytovich offers these words regarding this choir. A rare and wonderful opportunity to hear and learn more about the Sacred Music of the Orthodox Church! I look forward to being back in New England with the Choir!”

A reception will follow in the church auditorium. There will also be items for sale from the Monastery Bookstore. There is no charge for the event but there will a free-will offering at the end of the concert.
