Voters get a second chance at the school and town budgets, with a referendum scheduled for Tuesday at the town’s community center.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The community center is at 20 Pine St.
Voters rejected both budgets April 29.
About $579,000 has been trimmed from the proposed budget since then.
As proposed, the tax rate would increase to 27.55 — up from the current 25.80 mills.
A resident with a property assessed at $250,000 now pays about $6,450 in taxes. If voters approve the budgets, that tax bill would increase to $6,887, or about $430.
To calculate your increase, multiply your property’s assessment by the mill rate, the divide by 1,000.
