Seymour Crews Douse House Fire

There were no injuries reported after a fire in Seymour Sunday.

Firefighters were sent to Bungay Terrace just after 9 p.m., according to a post on the fire department’s Facebook page, after a report of smoke inside a house.

Crews determined there was a chimney fire, and that the fire was spreading inside the walls of the structure.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and overhauled to make sure no further fire existed,” according to the post. 

Seymour EMS provided a crew for standby as well as Oxford Fire Department provided a rapid intervention team.”
