Seymour Police Make Second Arrest In ATM Robbery

Police have arrested a second man for a robbery at the Bank of America ATM this May.

Casey Hyman, 19, of Shelton, was charged Friday with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery for his alleged role in the May robbery.

Police said Hyman and Seymour resident Daniel Szleszynski on May 31 allegedly held up a man using a pellet gun as the man tried to withdraw money from the ATM.

The victim was able to drive away from the ATM without being hurt, but police said the robbers took $100 out of his account using the ATM card he left behind.

Hyman was arrested Friday at his court date for a previous arrest for allegedly stealing dirt bikes and motorcycles.

Hyman and Szleszynski are both due back in court on Aug. 17.

According to a statement released by Seymour Police Lt. Paul Satkowski, police do not expect to make any more arrests for the robbery.
