Allegretto
Stephen Allegretto of Seymour has been promoted to associate vice president for finance/controller at Quinnipiac University.
In his new role, Allegretto is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the university’s finances, including accounting, tax, financial compliance and reporting, treasury, fixed assets, internal controls, internal and external audits and bursar services. Before his promotion, Allegretto was director of financial compliance and reporting.
“I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to serve our Quinnipiac community,” Allegretto said. “I am excited and optimistic about the future of our team and the university as a whole. Together, we are going to achieve great things.”
Mark Varholak, vice president and chief financial officer, said, “Those who have worked with Steve over the years know that his commitment and love for Quinnipiac is infectious. We are truly lucky to have Steve play such a critical role on our team.”
Allegretto joined Quinnipiac in the fall of 2013. He has a master’s in business administration from Quinnipiac and bachelor’s degrees in accounting and information systems from Fairfield University.
