Seymour Softball Players Take Second Place In Tournament

CONTRIBUTEDThe Connecticut Raiders 12U Travel Softball program brought home a trophy from the 10th annual Rose City Rumble,” a tournament with softball teams from around the state, held in Norwich and Franklin, Conn. on May 19 and 20. 

The CT Raiders 12U team is made up 11 and 12 year old girls from Seymour, Orange and Bethany. 

The team took second place out of 15 teams, according to coach Jim Geffert. The team won six games to get to the championship game, and lost 3 – 0 to the CT Mirage 99’s in the finals.
