Seymour School Officials Explain $32.6 Million Budget

Seymour school officials came to the Valley Indy office Tuesday to explain the reasons behind their $32.6 million budget request.

The budget (along with the town side of the spending plan) goes to voters in late April.

The presentation was streamed live on ValleyIndy.org, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Readers submitted questions at the end of the presentation by email and through Facebook.

According to YouTube, 108 people watched it live Tuesday night. Another 100 people watched the replay by Wednesday morning.

School board members Kristen Harmeling and Yashu Putorti participated, along with assistant superintendent Rick Belden.
