The Derby-Shelton Rotary is excited to announce that our Annual Shelton Day Event is set to take place Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 11 – 5 at Veterans Memorial Park
Lucy Andrade, Derby-Shelton Rotary President, said, “Each year I am excited for Shelton Day as it is a great way to be with our Shelton Family and support vendors, business and school programs. It is great to see everyone of all ages. It’s so rewarding. I would like to thank all the vendors and sponsors that have signed up to date. We still have openings.”
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including live music performances, local food vendors, arts and crafts booths, children’s activities and an adult beverage garden.
Highlights of the day include:
- Live Music: Enjoy performances by Eight to the Bar (a popular six-piece swing band; the Shelton Gales Marching Band and Heavy Hitters.
- Kids’ Zone: A special area dedicated to kids with pony rides; petting zoo & train rides.
- Community Vendors & Resources: Enjoy shopping the talents of craft vendors; local organizations and the services available in our area.
- Food Trucks: Try delicious offerings from a variety of local food trucks and vendors.
- Mayor Mark Lauretti.
All proceeds from Shelton Day go right back to the community. From Shelton Day; Flags for Heroes; Coats for Kids; Salt & Sand for Seniors, Dictionaries for 3rd graders; Scholarships for High School seniors from Derby and Shelton; grants to local organizations and other community projects operated by the Derby-Shelton Rotary.
