Ansonia police arrested a Shelton man Oct. 24, after he was found on Farrel Corp. property with a bag of scrap copper parts.
Jason Doehrer, 40, of Algonkin Road in Shelton, was charged with third-degree trespassing and sixth-degree larceny.
Police said he had about 11 pounds of copper parts in the bag, worth less than $250.
Doehrer was found outside in a fenced-in lot on North Main Street, north of the main Farrel buildings. Police said it’s not clear if the copper was taken from Farrel or one of its tenants.
Doehrer was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby on Nov. 7 to answer to the charges.
