ANSONIA – Spector Furniture and Mattress Gallery, a family-owned furniture and mattress store in Ansonia, CT, is celebrating its 134th anniversary on Jan. 13, 2024.
The store will host a special gathering with local dignitaries, customers, and community members to mark this milestone.
Founded in 1890 by Simon Spector, a Russian immigrant who started selling furniture from a horse-drawn wagon, the store has grown to become one of the oldest and most trusted furniture and mattress retailers in Connecticut, serving generations of families statewide.

The anniversary event will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm at the store’s location at 385 Main Street, Ansonia, CT. The event will feature:
