In addition to participating in The Great Give, The Valley Indy is publicizing other nonprofit groups benefiting from the event.
Celebrating its 13th year in 2022, The Great Give is returning on May 4 – 5. This 36-hr, online, community-wide giving event is an initiative of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and Valley Community Foundation to raise visibility and resources for nonprofits serving Greater New Haven and the Lower Naugatuck Valley. Last year, thanks to the generosity of of our donors, we raised $33,922.73 to support our programs to meet the basic needs of food, shelter, and support services for our clients!

From 9:00am-10:00am on Thursday, May 5, Liberty Bank will be providing a pool of matching funds totaling $1,000! Spooner House will receive a pro-rated portion of the match pool based on the number of unique donors who give through The Great Give between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5. The more donors who give during this hour, the more we will earn!
