About 22 live interviews are scheduled. The stream will be divided into about a dozen video chunks of anywhere from 90 to 120 minutes.

The videos will be on Zoom and streamed to Valley Indy Facebook — and then placed by hand here on ValleyIndy.org. Keep in mind there’s only one full-time reporter at The Valley Indy, so there could be a delay in posting videos to this space.

Celebrating its 13th year in 2022, The Great Give is returning on May 4 – 5. This 36-hr, online, community-wide giving event is an initiative of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and Valley Community Foundation to raise visibility and resources for nonprofits serving Greater New Haven and the Lower Naugatuck Valley. Last year, thanks to the generosity of of our donors, we raised $33,922.73 to support our programs to meet the basic needs of food, shelter, and support services for our clients!

SHELTON — In addition to participating in The Great Give, The Valley Indy is publicizing other nonprofit groups benefiting from the event. The following information was sent by Adam’s House:
Adam’s House, a grief education and support center in Shelton, will be hosting numerous events to coincide with ‘The Great Give’® on May 4th & 5th, a 36-hour online giving event sponsored by The Valley Community Foundation.
In addition to participating in The Great Give, The Valley Indy is publicizing other nonprofit groups benefiting from the event.
The Great Give 2022 is here! The Great Give is an online fundraiser put on by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and the Valley Community Foundation. It is a 36-hour online fundraising event, where nonprofits can raise funds eligible for many matches, making all donations stretch farther!
We are thrilled to announce that we’re hosting one, unified event to benefit all BHcare programs, which include The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, the Hope Family Justice Center, the Parent Child Resource Center, Alliance for Prevention and Wellness, and BHcare’s mental health, and substance use resources.
A Chance to Shine will raise funds and awareness for our life-saving programs and celebrate the amazing communities we serve from the Shoreline to the Valley.
