A Seymour resident was arrested on drug and weapons charges after he allegedly waved a sword outside the passenger window of a car as it drove on Bridge Street in Ansonia Friday night.
Michael Martovich, 23, of Lane Street in Seymour, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of narcotics, failure to keep drugs in original container, and second-degree breach of peace.
Witnesses called police at about 8:28 p.m. Friday saying they saw the passenger of a Dodge Durango waving a sword out of the window, according to Lt. Andrew Cota.
Police they pulled over the Dodge Durango on Bridge Street and charged Martovich.
Cota did not have further details about the size or type of sword Martovich allegedly had in the car.
