Thank you, Andrew Cota for you many hours of artistic labor, in carving out an elaborate signs, now graced over the entrance to the historic Derby Sterling Opera House.
In these times of national economic, and two-war depression, you have given the City of Derby a recognizable face-lift, with your public spirited personal contribution of the signs to your beloved community, Mr. Cota.
I always admired former Police Chief Andrew Cota, as a former Derby Police Commissioner, as he always “ran a tight ship” at Police Headquarters, that made my job, much easier.
I was also very impressed with his vast knowledge of religion, and war veterans’ affairs, which made him an accomplished speaker on these subjects, outside of his education and work experience in law enforcement.
Until now, however, I was not aware of his artistic, talent ability of crafting signs out of wood, which will now grace the Opera House, hopefully ‚for generations to come, thanks to a great Derby citizen, Andrew Cota.
Good work!
