ANSONIA – One man is in critical condition and another is injured following a shooting at the Saint Sebastian Club (130 Father Salemi Dr.), police said.
According to a press release, police arrived at the scene at around 2:30 a.m. They found a 27-year-old male Ansonia resident who had been shot multiple times in the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A 26-year-old male Ansonia resident had also been shot once in the buttocks, police said. He was also taken to the hospital.
The shooting was the second time police had been called to that location that evening. About half an hour prior, a disturbance was reported at the location and police were called. Officers found a party that had ended after a fight broke out. The people involved in that initial fight had left before officers arrived, police said.
The shooting occurred shortly after officers left the scene for the first call.
The names of the victims have not been released.
