When Is The Derby Christmas Tree Lighting?

UPDATE: The City of Derby and The Derby Cultural Commission (DCC) announce they are rescheduling the Traditional, Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony to Friday, December 2nd 2022 at 5 PM — 6:30 PM, on the Derby Green located on Elizabeth Street.

(The National Weather Service calls for showers on 11/25/22, from 4 PM — 7 PM.)

Plan to don your holiday colors and join the Carolers, Bradley Elementary School Choir and Derby High School Chorus and Band!! Soloist Paula Pettilina will also perform! Santa will arrive to give out Candy Canes and sit for Photos with Santa. The Cultural Commission will serve Hot Cocoa. 

A holiday horse will add to the atmosphere among the pretty lighting and trees. Dress warmly, some evenings are 20 Degrees! A latrine will be located in SE corner of the park, for your convenience.

Notes: Bring an unwrapped Toy for the Derby Lions Club, Toy Drive’, to support Team Inc. The decorative box will be located near the Gazebo. Also see us to join the Derby Cultural Commission Volunteers at the Wreaths Across America” Program for the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.
