Wildcat Way: The Tweets

PHOTO: Jamie YakushewichSometime between July 4 and the morning of July 5, the new Wildcat Way sign was swiped from the entrance of Seymour High School.

As news spread through the Valley, people took to Twitter to express their outrage — and in some cases, support — about the theft.

The sign was installed just before the June 19 graduation ceremonies, along with new large paw prints painted along the walkway leading up to the school. Jamie Yakushewich, Seymour softball and football coach, sent in this photo of the sign in place.

Seymour’s First Selectman Kurt Miller broke the news via the town’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Police are investigating.
