Ansonia police released a statement Monday regarding a Saturday morning shooting on Francis Street.
Police said they received a call at 4:40 a.m. reporting shots fired in the area of Francis Street near Addison Street.
Responding officers were told someone fired rounds into 8 Francis St.
No one was injured.
Police recovered four to five bullet fragments inside the house. The bullets entered a second floor apartment, police said.
It is the third such incident in three weeks in Ansonia.
“It is unknown if this shooting is linked to two previous shootings in Ansonia but it has not been ruled out,” police spokesman Lt. Andrew Cota said in a press release.

Police said they don’t have any suspects at the moment.
