SHELTON – A 57-year-old man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a woman’s residence in Huntington.
Police were called to a residence at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 15, according to a press release sent by Shelton police on Aug. 18.
A 68-year-old woman told police she came home and noticed a door was slightly open. She went inside and saw a man in her residence, police said.
“The male had his face covered. The victim got into a physical altercation with the male suspect. During the altercation, the victim bit the male suspect,” police said.
The woman also took pictures of the suspect and his vehicle as he left the scene, police said.
Police identified David Pavlik, of Seymour, as a suspect. He was taken into custody in Waterbury. Police said he had previously done work at the victim’s residence.
Shelton police charged Pavlik with home invasion, first-degree burglary, and third-degree robbery.
Pavlik is free on a $200,000 bond pending a Sept. 5 court appearance in Derby.
