Former State Representative Endorses Rochelle

I strongly support Kara Rochelle for State Representative.

Ansonia and Derby must choose wisely this fall in this critical election. We need someone who is of the lower Naugatuck Valley, understands these communities and who wants to put people ahead of party to face these challenging times.

Having served this district faithfully for eighteen years, I know the people of Ansonia and Derby very well. I also know that Kara is the right person to represent us during uncertain times.

Kara’s background and experiences make her the right choice. She is the daughter of hard-working parents who taught her the values of honesty and service. Her father, Al Rochelle worked at Sikorsky Aircraft and dedicated his adult life to his family and volunteer firefighter service in the Valley. Her late mother, Diane was a loving parent and small business owner who instilled in her kids a passion for children and education. Kara achieved good grades in local public schools, worked her way through college, and graduated from Fordham University with a degree in English and education.

Kara understands that the Valley’s location, skilled workforce, and access to rail and highways give us the cornerstones for a brighter economic future. Kara will work to pass smart state policies that create good jobs that pay well in advanced manufacturing, bioscience and clean energy right here in Connecticut.

To achieve that brighter economic future we need a State Representative who will fight for our working families, for our children in the classrooms and for our seniors who have worked their entire lives for their children and grandchildren.

Kara Rochelle is the right choice for Ansonia, for Derby and our future. I am very proud to support her in this critical election.
