I am a nurse at Griffin Hospital writing this letter in support of Nicole Klarides-Ditria. I have been following Nicole’s campaign for state representative this election, and believe she has what it takes to fix our state.
I am very disappointed in Rep. Theresa Conroy’s decision to cut more than $7 million to Griffin Hospital. She was once a nurse herself and it seems that she has forgotten the very people she says she represents.
Unfortunately, the state’s fiscal woes continue to exist, and Rep. Conroy and Governor Malloy will yet again look to hospitals for additional money. Next year their plan is to rob an additional $3 million from Griffin Hospital, which will prevent the hospital from expanding the quality of care services critical to the health and wellness of our residents.
Nicole understands that undercutting the funding promised to Griffin Hospital ultimately jeopardizes the health and welfare of the residents in our community. We need someone in Hartford that will actually represent the people and who will keep their word. That is why I will be voting for Nicole on November 8th.
