‘Rock The Valley’ Returns To Ansonia August 24, 2019

ANSONIA — Rock The Valley” is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Nolan Field in Ansonia.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 25.

The Bands

Celtic magician Daniel Greenwolf will be performing and emceeing Rock the Valley” this year. 

This year DRAW THE LINE, an Aerosmith tribute band, is headlining the festival. Draw the Line’s members are from Boston, and they’ve been together an impressive 30 years.

Other bands performing at Rock the Valley” include:

RIPCHORD, a band comprised of citizen soldiers from from the Connecticut 102nd Army National Guard Band.They’ve played in Ansonia before. Want a sample?

ELECTRIC LADY BAND USA, featuring Ansonia’s state Sen. George Logan. This is, as you might have guessed from the band’s name, a tribute to the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

In addition to live music, Rock the Valley” will feature:

* Fireworks at night to close the event

Tickets, Parking, Other Info

Admission is $3. Children 12 and under get in for free.

Tickets are on sale at Ansonia City Hall, 253 Main St., or can be purchased at the gate the day of the event. Go to the city government’s official website for other locations to buy tickets.

Parking is available at the location. Don’t park on Wakelee Avenue. Additional parking is available at Tri-Town Plaza, 850 Derby Ave. in Seymour (less than a mile away). 

Parking is free, and free shuttle buses will take people to and from Tri-Town.

Rock the Valley” is a community event organized by Mayor David Cassetti’s administration and the Ansonia Cultural Commission.
