Things To Do This Weekend

Taken at Jones Family Farm a few years back.

Here’s a list of things you and your family can do this weekend.

This week’s list is sponsored by THC The Hops Company, a beer garden on Sodom Lane in east Derby that readers of Connecticut Magazine routinely choose as Connecticut’s best beer bar.

Stop by the Fourth Annual Oktoberfest, featuring the Von Trapp Brewery, Sunday Oct. 13, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

2019 Monroe Apple Festival

St Peter’s Annual Apple Festival is the perfect way to kick-off New England’s fabulous Fall season.

I’ve never been. Sounds like fun!

It’s a community tradition you don’t want to miss. Every year on the first weekend after Labor Day, St Peter’s Church holds its annual Apple Festival. Craft vendors from all over the Northeast set up tents on the historical Monroe Green to sell everything from doll clothes to jewelry to woodcrafts. There are games for kids, tons of great food and baked goods, and apples, apples, apples!

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
