To the Parents and Children of Ansonia Public Schools:
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to tell you I will be retiring on June 18, 2018 after 38 years as a crossing guard in Ansonia.
I have loved working with our children as a crossing guard, as a lunch aide in the cafeteria at Ansonia High School and as a counselor’s aide in the Early Friends program at Prendergast School. I feel lucky and truly blessed to have had the pleasure of working with so many children over the years in many capacities.
I won’t forget the children, nor the wonderful families and teachers, that I have met throughout the years.
Do you know the saying, “Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life?” That is what I believe, and what I have lived. Thank you for giving me so many happy memories.
