COVID Complicates This Year’s Annual ‘Toys4Kids’ Campaign, But Here’s How To Help

As pointed out by The United Way’s ALICE” report, many families in the lower Naugatuck Valley were already struggling to make ends meet before the first cases of COVID-19 were discovered in Connecticut last March.

The virus has only made the situation worse.

TEAM Inc.‘s Toys4Kids” is an annual campaign that gets holiday presents in the hands of more than 1,200 kids whose parents may not otherwise be able to afford it.

Toys4Kids” faces major logistical problems this year thanks to COVID-19. Gone are the 160 toy donation boxes that dot Valley businesses every year. Gone are the well-attended public events that support Toys4Kids.”

However, TEAM Inc. and a network of sponsors are determined to make this year’s event a success and to bring smiles to the faces of kids throughout the Valley.

But they need your help.

Please watch the video above for an interview with TEAM Inc.‘s David Morgan and Lisa Savoid for information on how you can help.

Qualifying families can start to apply for Toys4Kids” today (Monday, Nov. 16).
