Derby Asks Residents To Check On Neighbors

Power outages at the start of Sunday are down to 142 residents throughout the town.

As the cold weather approaches we would like to remind you to check on your neighbors, especially the elderly as they are more susceptible to colder weather. If you do find a neighbor in need of alternate sheltering due to a cold climate in the house, please contact the Derby EOC at (203) ‑736‑1458 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The Derby EOC will remain open throughout the weekend to assist those in need.

We still have the Comfort Station’ open at the Community Center located at 35 Fifth St. Sunday from 9am – 2pm. There is State supplied food (MREs), water, cleaning kits and some toiletries available there. Please bring your own towels. Members of the Derby Emergency Management can also deliver these supplies to your residents if you call us.
