The Derby Historical Society participated in Connecticut Open House Day on June 12 — opening the David Humphreys House to the public for free.
David Loda and his horse Huckleberry made an appearance as Col. David Humphreys himself.
The junior docents, volunteers at the historical society, organized into the Elm Street Patriotic Train Band.
The house was decorated for Flag Day, and the society gave tours of the Elm Street Cemetery.
