Derby Neck Library Closed

Derby Neck Library on Hawthorne Avenue is closed “indefinitely to the public, to be reviewed weekly on Thursdays,” according to Ian Parsells, head librarian.
“Staff will still be in the building and we will help people via phone and internet to the best of our abilities during our usual working hours,” he said Thursday night in an email to The Valley Indy.

Derby Historical Society Postpones Annual Meeting
The Derby Historical Society sent word Friday morning that its annual meeting due to COVID-19 precautions.
The annual meeting is an important fundraiser for the nonprofit group.
But, “membership renewals will still be accepted via mail or via PayPal at http://derbyhistorical.org in the meantime,” the society said.
A new date will be schedule.
