The event will take place at the Derby Middle School cafetorium, at 10 Nutmeg Ave.
Tracy is leaving the district at the end of the month to take a job as the superintendent of Unified District No. 2, which is responsible for the education of students in foster and residential care in Connecticut.

The Board of Education will hold a meeting immediately following the reception, at 6 p.m. at Derby Middle School.
The reception, and the meeting, are open to the public.
