
Six more people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus between Thursday and Friday, according to information released Friday afternoon from the Naugatuck Valley Health District.
“Please remember that this is a rapidly evolving situation and numbers are likely to change,” Jessica Stelmaszek, the NVHD​’s health director, said in an email.
As of Friday, 37 people within the health district’s jurisdiction tested positive. One person, an 80-year-old man from Shelton, was discovered to have COVID-19 after he passed away.

Also, Griffin Health is offering an information hotline at 203 – 204-1053 for patients, visitors, and community residents who have questions about COVID-19. Griffin caregivers will be available to answer questions Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
