John Marini Thanks Ansonia Voters

I would like to thank the voters of Ansonia’s Seventh Ward.

Thank you for speaking with me as I campaigned door-to-door.

Thank you for taking the time to read my brochures and literature.

And a special thanks to those of you willing to display my signs on your lawn.

But most of all, thank you for giving me an opportunity to earn your trust. I am honored to be your new alderman and eager to continue working for our city.

I would also like to thank the outgoing members of the Board of Aldermen for their service to Ansonia. In particular, Stephen Blume deserves respect and gratitude for his years of work on the Board. I am proud to have served alongside Alderman Blume for the past two years.

As a result of this election, Republicans will hold seats on the Board of Aldermen representing the Second, Fifth and Seventh Wards for the first time in over a decade. I therefore look forward to a politically balanced Board where Republicans and Democrats can combine their knowledge, skills and talents for the good of the city. By working together, I am confident that we will meet that challenges of today’s economy and build a bright future for Ansonia.

I encourage all residents to share their ideas and concerns at Ansonia’s Board of Aldermen meetings, which are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm in City Hall. I hope to see you there.
