If you missed the first airing of documentary “Last Days of the Coliseum” when it premiered last year, you have another chance Friday night.
A free screening of the documentary will be presented on the New Haven green at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 12. (Click here for more details.)
Former Derby resident Dan Santoro is one of the people interviewed about the heyday of the old concert and event venue.

The documentary was produced by Rich Hanley, a professor of journalism and at Quinnipiac University.
Professor Hanley said he decided to start filming the documentary of the New Haven Coliseum back in 2005 — two years before it was demolished — because it was a cultural icon for a generation in Connecticut.
