James Castelot, a staff member with Council 4 AFSCME, filed a complaint over two donations given to “Staffieri for Mayor” by Richard Antonucci.
Antonucci is the principal partner in Annex Associates, the private firm hired by the Board of Aldermen last year to operate the city’s transfer station.
Antonucci did not list his association with the city and answered “no” to a question asking whether he had a contract valued at at least $5,000 with the city.
Ken Hughes, Staffieri’s campaign manager, contends that Antonucci answered “no” because the city does not pay Annex for their services at the transfer station.
