Upcoming Fundraiser Benefits The United Way

Valley United Way is excited to announce the date for its upcoming Communitini” fundraising party.

It will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Pavilion adjacent to Villa Bianca at 5:30 p.m.

The event features 23 local restaurants competing for the coveted People’s Choice and Critic’s Choice awards. They will be judged on who serves their best signature martini deliciously paired with an appetizer.

Enjoy the silky music of famous crooners like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and the rest of the Rat Pack at the Old Hollywood themed event.

The event raises funds to help support Valley United Way’s efforts to end food insecurity in Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton.

Currently in the Valley 1‑in‑5 children are at risk of going hungry, but is not just access to food that needs to be addressed; it is access to healthy food. In fact food pantries have fresh produce only 25% of the time.” said Sharon Gibson Ellis, President & COO of Valley United Way.

Long-time supporter and committee Chair Susan Dripchak stated that Communitini will be an amazingly fun event, and it will raise funds for a critical need in the Valley.
Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased online at valleyunitedway.org or by phone (203) 926‑9478.
