The Great Give is almost here! The following press release was sent by the Valley Community Foundation:
“So far more than 57 Valley nonprofits — more than ever before — have signed up to participate in the 2024 Great Give on May 1 – 2.
The 36-hour online fundraising extravaganza, created by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (TCF) in 2010, unites donors with area nonprofits in a fun and engaging way.
The Great Give raises money and awareness for area nonprofits and causes with valuable matching funds and prizes from TCF, the Valley Community Foundation (VCF), and other generous sponsors. Last year, The Great Give raised more than $3.4 million for a record number 519 nonprofits in the Valley and Greater New Haven area. More than 55 Valley-based nonprofits participated, raising nearly $404,000 for organizations in Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton.
Registration for nonprofits to participate closes April 23. To donate to nonprofits during the Great Give: Visit www.TheGreatGive.org between 8am on May 1, and 8pm on May 2. You can also register as a nonprofit at the same website.
