With Hurricane Sandy approaching, it’s probably a good idea to sign up for Code Red” alerts.

Code Red is an emergency notification service. You can receive the messages on your cell phone, land line and e‑mail.

In Ansonia, go to the city’s webpage. Scroll down the home page and click the Code Red.

The Town of Oxford also uses Code Red notifications. Click here to sign up for Code Red messages from Oxford.

Every town in the lower Naugatuck Valley, including Beacon Falls, Derby and Shelton, are listed as using Everbridge, a notification system offered through the state of Connecticut.
