The City of Derby needs a mayor who will be a leader working as a team with all involved striving to better our beloved city, thus, why I am supporting Carmen DiCenso’s bid to be the Democratic candidate for Derby’s next mayor.

When considering who is best to lead Derby, as a professional I first want to see how sharp, committed, strategic, and caring that person is. I also want to see results.

In the years I lived in Derby, I watched some of the political dysfunction front and center.

Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom once said, “In politics, if you want something said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman.”
I’m proud of Derby’s first female Mayor. It’s with this pride that I’ll cast my vote on Tuesday, September 12th for Anita Dugatto.
I’ve known Anita since she supervised me at WaWa when I was in high school. Looking back, I smile as I realize that I’m still reporting to her.
