The Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) reminds everyone that Thursday, May 1, 2025 is the National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May inviting every one of all faiths to pray for our nation. The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year encouraging all Americans to pray on this day. It is fitting that we, in 2025, take a day to meditate and pray for peace in our dealings with others remembering that we are all brothers and sisters and are truly instruments of peace.
