My name is Shain Edmonds and I have been a lifelong resident of Ansonia.
Growing up, my father, Richard Edmonds, taught me the values of honesty, integrity, respect and hard work. These are qualities that define what it is to be an Ansonian.
My father was a coach of Pop Warner for 30 years and is known throughout the community and my cousin, Howie Tinney, was the first black Police Commissioner in Ansonia.
Both have been great role models to me and I strive to follow in their footsteps.
I remember going away to college in Washington DC and thinking when I come back to Ansonia I need to make sure I give back to my community.
I have been on the Ansonia Pop Warner coaching staff for the past six years and high school football for nine years.
I am asking my wonderful community to come out on Nov. 3 and support me as I run for Second Ward Alderman in order to continue to give back to the community that has given so much to me.
Thank you for your support.
