Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti’s campaign sent the following statement Friday on behalf of state Rep. Themis Klarides:
I am proudly endorsing David Cassetti for Mayor of Ansonia. Mayor Cassetti has positioned himself in direct opposition to the high tax policies and anti-business attitudes that are driving residents and jobs out of Connecticut. He has achieved two consecutive years of tax relief while working with employers and developers to make Ansonia a more attractive place to do business in.

The Democratic Party is known nationally as the Party of John F. Kennedy and FDR. Here in Ansonia, however, they appear to be the Party of Rip Van Winkle. Reading their recent guest columns in the Valley Independent Sentinel gives the impression that they have been asleep for much of Mayor Dave Cassetti’s administration and the year preceding it.

Mayoral candidate Ed Adamowski is in denial. He appears either unable or unwilling to accept the fact that Mayor David Cassetti has had a very successful first term. The Democrat candidate apparently cannot comprehend all the good the Cassetti Team has done on behalf of the taxpayers in Ansonia. He also seems to have missed the recent news from Ansonia’s independent auditors on the City’s strong financial health.
