Discovery Channel Show Wants To Talk To People With Sterling Opera House Connections

The Sterling Opera House on Elizabeth Street in Derby.

This was sent from a Discovery Channel series representative via the Derby Historical Society:

Hidden America is a Discovery Channel Series which tells the stories of lesser-known buildings and ruins of historical interest across the USA and we are planning to feature the Sterling Opera House in our next season.

The segment will include one or two walking and talking interviews at the Sterling with individuals that have a personal link to the property. This interview would be sometime in the week of the 4th of September for a few hours with a small crew of 2 – 3 people and one camera.

So, we are currently looking for people who remember the Sterling when it was operational who might be interested in being featured. Maybe you worked at the opera house or the city hall below or even if you just visited while it was open. If this is you, it would be great to hear from you! Please do get in touch to arrange a very informal chat at beth.adams@likeashot.tv
