Celebrate Shelton is pleased to announce Food Trucks on the River taking place on Friday, June 2nd from 5pm — 10pm and Saturday June 3rd from 11am — 6pm located on Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Shelton. There is a rain date for Sunday June 4th. There will be 25+ food trucks per day, live music, bar including craft brews sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company and LoveLou Wines, handmade artisan vendors and children’s activities.
“We are excited to continue our efforts in bringing fun, inclusive events to Downtown Shelton for all families to enjoy,” noted Michael Skrtic and Nicole Heriot-Mikula, co-founders of Celebrate Shelton.
This event is free to attend, with a $5 suggested donation. “We have brought the best of Connecticut’s food trucks and programming together for an amazing weekend ‚” said Jimmy Tickey, co-creator of Celebrate Shelton.
Friday activities include a visit with TV’s favorite Heeler Pup from 6 – 7pm followed by Dance Party w/ DJ Doey Joey starting at 7pm, Ax Throwing, Psychic Medium Readings with Anna G and Flash Tattoos with Silence is Golden Gallery all evening.
On Saturday, the lineup for the day kicks off with a Beardsley Zoo Wild Assembly at 11:30am, followed by Seed Planting with Wells Hollow Farm, BringtheHoopla’s Hoopla Zone and mini canvas painting with The Giggling Pig. Live music includes CT’s Gold Eris and Brooklyn’s Gentleman Brawlers.
North Shore Animal League and Halfway Home Rescue will be hosting an adoption event on-site.
In conjunction with the City of Shelton, there will be a LGBTQ Pride Flag raising on Saturday June 3rd at 2:00pm at the Derby-Shelton Rotary Pavilion.
