Quinnipiac University students worked together with employees of the Boys & Girls Club of Ansonia on Saturday, April 6, to help spruce up the club as part of the Big Event, a day of community service.
The students mulched, trimmed trees, raked, planted flowers, painted and helped set up for a club event.
About 1,500 members of the Quinnipiac University family fanned out to 87 sites across Greater New Haven and beyond to perform community service at the 10th annual Big Event.
The Big Event is a day of community service that connects Quinnipiac students, faculty, staff and alumni with community partners in the greater New Haven area and beyond.
