Sill To Dugatto Letter Writers: Let’s Talk

FILE

Ron Sill, center.

In response to the two recent editorials by Samantha Burgan and Chris Larocque, I encourage you both to reach out to Carmen DiCenso personally to discuss your concerns with him.

It’s far too easy to sit behind a keyboard to express opposing thoughts, judgements and opinions without communicating directly to the person you are calling into question.

Unfortunately in today’s society, people often communicate via social media or other online mediums to convey thoughts, opinions, concerns, and most often, displeasure with someone or something without actually having had face-to-face contact with the person at the receiving end of their ire.

Carmen’s accomplishments in his career as a successful business owner, and in his personal life as a popular coach and as an effective elected official, are due largely to his communication skills. Carmen prides himself on listening to the concerns and opinions of others while keeping an open mind and open dialog.

I personally have spoken to Carmen about these two editorials and he would very much like to meet both Samantha Burgan and Chris Larocque over coffee to share in a constructive, beneficial conversation.

Carmen is and always has been very accessible. During this campaign season, it is easiest to get in contact with him via the Contact” tab on his website at www.dicensoformayor.com.

As relatively new residents to the City of Derby, I highly encourage you both to reach out to Carmen. Carmen will absolutely respond in a timely manner.
