Friends of an Oxford High School student who died in a tragic car accident are selling T‑shirts to honor their fallen friend.
Brandon Giordano was a passenger in a car that went out of control and crashed March 9 on Old State Road 67, near Precision Glass and Mirror.
He was just 15.
The tragedy has left a void in the hearts of students at Oxford High School. However, a scholarship has been created in Brandon’s memory.
A pasta dinner to support the scholarship fund was held last month. Nearly 600 people attended.
The new T‑shirts, which go on sale in the school April 9, are another way to honor Giordano and show support for his family, including his mother, Angela Borelli.
The idea for the shirts came from Oxford High School sophomores Christian Bauer, Liam Fay and Matt Sherman.
The shirts feature a football with angel wings and the line “God must have needed a Tackle.”
The line is a reference to Brandon’s position on the Oxford High School football team, where he wore no. 69.
Story continues after the photo:
“We were all pretty good friends with Brandon,” Christian said. “He was absolutely hilarious. He was always making fun of everybody, but if he made fun of you, you knew he cared about you,” he said.
Order forms will be made available for students at Oxford High School starting April 9. Orders must be placed by April 25.
