Adult Summer Reading Club (ages 18 and over)
Participants will read books of their choice throughout the summer and complete a brief written review to share with fellow readers. Weekly raffles will be held for summer surprise bags. A series of special programs, including magic, animals, music, cooking and massage therapy will be held Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. from June 11 to August 6. Hoots and Owls (Ages 5 – 11)
Learn about owls in CT at the Hoots and Owls presentation being held at the Derby Public Library.
During the hour-long presentation by the Kellogg Environmental Center, learn how owls navigate in the dark and hunt for food. Children will complete an art project at the conclusion of the presentation. Registration is required.

Early Morning Bird Walk
Join the Ansonia Nature Center’s naturalist on a search for the park’s summer residents on an easy walk along the trails.

Vintage Garage Sale
Vintage garage sale will take place this Saturday and Sunday in Ansonia, CT.

Community CPR
The Ansonia Rescue Medical Services (ARMS) will offer free basic CPR training sessions. Participants will receive a Heartsaver CPR certification card from the American Heart Association upon successful completion of the session. Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items. Cow Chip Family Day
The Shelton Seahawks youth football team is hosting this family day fundraiser to offset the cost of program essentials, and to start a fund to develop the field behind Perry Hill School. There will be a Cow Chip Raffle, Duck Derby, Roaming Railroad Train Rides, vendors, crafts tables, food, and more. Contact Julie Blakeman at FundHawk@aol.com to become a vendor at the event.

Oxford Day of Fun Picnic

Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire
JUNE 23 and JUNE 24
Spend the day in an interactive fantasy world with elves, fairies, orcs, goblins and dwarves. Live shows, combat, unique artisans and food provided throughout the day. People are encouraged to dress up as fantasy characters. This event will happen rain or shine.

Summer Solstice Drumming Circle
Join Ansonia Nature Center’s ranger Dawn Sotir and her seasonal percussionists as they drum in the new season at the Nature Center. For adults and youngsters 12 and older. Please bring a canned food item for the local homeless shelter in lieu of a program fee.
