SHELTON — Valley United Way is pleased to announce the kickoff of its 2024/2025 Annual Campaign, set to take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the White Hills Distillery in Shelton, Connecticut. This event, which is free and open to the public, aims to bring together community members, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations in support of the Valley’s most pressing needs.
This year’s campaign kickoff will feature Marcy Rende, a leader and distinguished Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and Director at Hope Counseling & Behavioral Center. Marcy, who holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University, will share her insights on the profound impact that Valley United Way has had on her organization and the broader community. Her perspective underscores the vital role that local contributions play in sustaining essential services that uplift families and individuals throughout the Valley.
The event will be held at White Hills Distillery, located at 278 Leavenworth Road, Route 110, Building B, in Shelton.
Guests will enjoy a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres as they network with fellow supporters of Valley United Way’s continuing work of Leading & Lifting the Valley. The distillery provides a relaxed yet elegant backdrop for an evening dedicated to community engagement and philanthropy.
As Valley United Way embarks on another campaign season, the organization invites everyone to participate in this kickoff event. The goal for the 2024/2025 campaign is not only to raise funds but also to strengthen partnerships with local businesses and organizations that are committed to making a difference. These collaborations are crucial in ensuring that Valley United Way can continue to provide support to programs that address critical issues such as food insecurity, education, health, and financial stability.
“We believe in the power of community,” said the leadership team at Valley United Way. “This kickoff event is more than just the start of our campaign; it’s an opportunity to come together, celebrate our shared values, and recommit to making the Valley a better place for all.”
