Do you enjoy watching birds?
Join Kellogg Environmental Center’s educator, Donna Rose Smith for relaxing Saturday morning walks in search of local birds at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (DEEP) Kellogg Environmental Center.
Donna is an experienced birder and naturalist as well as educator for the center having led many programs both on site and at local nature centers. Her bird walk is designed to introduce all ages to the joy of observing birds in the wild and sharing these finds with bird study organizations such as Audubon and Cornell University.
Learn how your participation in this citizen science program helps provide valuable information on bird populations, movements and behavior to help track species found here in Connecticut. Come and sharpen your bird identification skills, expand you knowledge of environmental science or just enjoy a Saturday morning hike through the grounds of the Kellogg Estate and Osbornedale State Park.
